3D Modeling and Texturing Workflow
I start with collecting several reference images which include anatomy, wrinkles, and ethnic images. In Zbrush I begin with a sphere and block in the basic silhoette of the character. I then use masks and the claytubes brush to sculpt
the anatomical muscles and bony landmarks. After projecting photographic textures, I continue working on hi-res sculptural detail.
I was inspired by the story of the Olympic runner Abebe Bikila who won the marathon gold medal in 1960. After a car accident, he became a quadriplegic. But he accepted his tragedy as he accepted his victories.
